How We Met: We both went to the University of Alabama and on the same Greek Summit beach project with Cru. Before I left to go, my parents suggested that I should get to know John Tully. However, it wasn’t until we were in a wedding together, me as a bridesmaid and him singing, four years later, that we talked for the first time. He sang the most beautiful song, and I fell in love with his voice. The next week, John invited me to a worship night that he was having at his house. Over the next couple of weeks, we spent time walking at The Preserve in Hoover and just talking about life. My brother’s rehearsal dinner was a couple of weeks later, and I asked him to go. We started officially dating that night and got engaged seven months later.

Favorite Moment: My brother, Spencer Logsdon, and one of my bridesmaids, Brooke McGehee, sang “All Glory Be to Christ,” which was the song John sang at the wedding that we were in together where he first caught my eye. During the reception, the band sang Michael Jackson’s “Santa Clause is Coming to Town,” as one of our best friends from college, Daniel Ashford, appeared dressed as Santa and handed the party favors to everyone. The crowd went wild because they all love Daniel and Santa.

Favorite Details: A dear friend of mine, Candy Wood, hand made a beautiful book of scripture verses on linen paper for me to read on my wedding day. John’s mom made all the groomsmen’s boutonnieres out of turkey feathers from a turkey caught on one of his dad’s hunts. She also did the reception flowers and arrangements. My mom sewed lace from her dress and my grandmother’s dress into mine and added their initials and a cross with blue thread.
